When The Rotary Club of Msasa received its Charter on Tuesday 29 August 1995, its name was derived from the indigenous “Musasa” tree and the hope was that our club would play a significant role in supporting the environment. The Musasa Tree was also chosen to be our club’s logo to remind members of the importance of going green and caring for our planet.

This year our club plans to set up Community Recycling Collection Centres around Harare where residents are supplied with bin liners to separate their waste and once full they can empty at Collection Centres. The project needs collaboration with local pick-up companies who will ensure the waste is collected in a timely manner. As a club we believe our members should be at the forefront of Recycling Initiatives.
