The Rotary Club of Msasa has fostered great partnerships with three institutions in Ward 24 of the Mazowe Rural District Council, an extremely impoverished area in the Concession area that has limited access to resources.
Mwenje Secondary School
Mwenje is the Shona word for Light and the Rotary Club of Msasa hopes that this school will be the light of the Mazowe Rural District Council. Our club hopes to paint 6 Classroom Blocks at Mwenje Secondary School and then launch the K.I.N.D. program (Kids In Needs of Desks) which we have applied for a small grant and hope to provide furniture at Mwenje.
Mapere Primary School
Recently Mapere Primary School had their office laptop, office computer and 3 in 1 printer stolen. These computers were the only computers in the entire school. The Rotary Club of Msasa is making plans to replace them.
Montgomery Heights Orphanage
The Rotary Club of Msasa continues to look for children’s books and toys to donate to the Montgomery Heights Orphanage.
